Janice D. Hagans-Higgins, MEd, LPCC-S

Janice Hagans-Higgins, mother of four, widow, past Licensed Practical Nurse and current Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor, graduated from Lindsey Wilson College, School of Professional Counseling in Columbia, KY, in 2014 with a master’s degree in counseling. Since earning her degree she has worked in multiple settings, including community care centers, traumatic brain injury programs, substance abuse intervention programs and in centers that focused on crisis intervention.  Past areas of special focus have included post-partum depression, anxiety, and trauma, with more recent focus on holistic healing approaches. Janice works with individuals and couples of ages 18 and older. Focusing on assisting those facing transitioning in life, those who seek affirmation, individuals recovering from substance use, depression, suffering from brain injury, facing relationship problems, and anyone dealing with trauma related to any type of abuse, grief or loss. Therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Existentialism, and Biblio-Therapy (upon request).
