Dr. Peg Dawson spoke to a small group of local psychologists, occupational therapist,s and speech therapists on Tuesday (5/21/13) on the topic of executive skills. This presentation was in connection to the book Smart but Scattered, that she co-authored with Dr. Ricahrd Guare. Training in this session focused on how to accurately assess for executive dysfunction and on effective intervention within the home and school settings. The child staff at Edelson & Associates had already incorporated many of the suggestions into their evaluations and looks forward to fine-tuning future evaluations with the information gained through this presentation.
